Fireball XL5

Another blast from my past, a song by Russell Crowe’s ex father in law, Don Spencer (in his younger days) and number 19 on my personal list of “31 songs”.

This TV show theme song was one of the first records my parents bought for me.

  1. Hey. I wasn’t going to share any music here this time, but I just came across this piece of music; don’t know if you’ve ever heard of her. Her voice reminds me of someone I know you like.

I’ll go ahead and share this article too (since it’s a sobering side of a heart being like a fireball — and I think it’s fun too):

    1. I didn’t follow the instructions of the second link, when I got married. When I was a kid, both of my parents had the same kind of job and encouraged me to go to college and have a career too. At the same time, inexplicably, my mother refused to answer me when I asked how I could have a career and take care of my child(ren) — as I was being raised very much a conservative (which prioritized being a full-time mom, then anyway, except that my mother wasn’t doing this). When my mother brought up the idea of marrying someone rich (in the context of her specifically, this didn’t seem to be about the practicality of how to raise children, and it wasn’t), I became angry.

    2. I couldn’t access the video link so I found a version on YouTube and saw a bit of that.
The singer has an impressive voice.
